Anyone know if it is possible to have two simultaneous connections to iDNet's mail servers?

EG If I set up my mail software with two separate accounts - fred@idnet.com and bill@idnet.com - is it possible to check both accounts simultaneously, since both use the same server.

Ray

Don't see why not, I use 2 different idnet.com email addresses with no problem Tac, they both send and receive at the same time.

OK thanks.  I just wondered if it might cause problems if both use the same server, albeit with different accounts.  :)

Rik

Never has yet, Tac, but you could always be a first.

He he. I have 23 idnet email addresses and my email client checks them all in a matter of moments. The idnet FAQ
http://www.idnet.net/support/faq.jsp#content13
says you can have as many email accounts as you want.

are they checked before being granted as i was thinking about maybe a paypal@idnet.com or payments@idnet.com address XD

Glenn

I beleive that it's first come first served for addresses, so if paypal@idnet is available you can take it.

As Glenn says, it's first come first served. But the easy way round that is to structure your addresses so as to include your name or handle. For example paypal.myhandle@idnet.com is almost certainly going to be available.

You can structure them as much as you want

paypal.mycategory.myhandle@idnet.com

etc.
