But "later" there will be the Iphone 5. IE, intermittent upgrade schedules are always hard to follow, and I would guess users skip a few.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

zappaDPJ

Yeah but my 'later' might mean I'll order after lunch. I probably won't, that would be silly, tomorrow will do ;D

I would upgrade if I had the money! I don't though so I plan to stick with my iPhone 4.

Mine should be here via UPS today :)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Simon

Mine is due to ship on the 19th.  There's always something wrong with the first batch anyway.

That's what I say as I scoff down the sausages/burgers at a BBQ, the pancakes/toast at breakfast and whenever I need an excuse to eat the food. :D

Mine was due to arrive today, however latest tracking status now suggests the 17th. Not that it's a great problem as I've plenty of other things to do and it's far better than queueing for the bloody thing.

Yes, apparently the Covent Garden shop was on the news this morning showing the queues.  ::)

So after a 2hr queue at o2 this morning i'm a proud owner of a White iPhone 4S 16gig.

Its a very nice phone and is a massive upgrade on the 3GS as you'd expect. I can't speak for the iPhone 4 users though.

Siri is very good. Better than i thought it would be and its still in "Beta" so isn't fully functional.

The camera is also amazing. I can't lug my DSLR around everywhere I go so to have such a great camera on my phone is a real treat.

10/10 for me!
Vrooooooooooom........oh wait. Whats happened?

UPS arrived and I am also the proud owner of a black 64GB iPhone 4S very happy indeed. Siri is pretty good as well. Signal is very good on this iPhone and the camera is great, much faster around the apps etc as well. Its a good update to my old 4 which is now saying bye bye.

So, is it worth the upgrade from an iPhone4?

You watch it, if I upgrade then 4 weeks later the iPhone 5 will come out

Steve

Siri it would appear is not entirely helpful.

"When people outside of the US do attempt to use the functions, Siri replies: "I can only look for businesses, maps and traffic in the United States, and when you're using US English. Sorry about that."

Is it really anything more than a gimmick?

Siri is in beta thats why. No issues here, it sends and compose txts and emails, sets alarms etc go though your music set reminders, great in a car when its hard to touch type. So I would not say its a gimmick, its better than the Android version at this stage.  I also am sure they will get Yell to partner over here as well.

Its a better phone, better colour casts on my screen compared with my old iPhone, no bluish pink tinge, camera is much better in low light as well and it ploughs though apps much quicker, its a solid update and above all it holds its signal and on mine call quality is much better.

I'll look forward to trying it if it ever arrives. Silly me told the 3rd party they didn't have to be in as the shipment would be delayed until the 17th (Apple Store  tracking),however she got back to find the dreaded courier note. Looks like the 17th after all.

I hate that, the courier said thats all they seem to have onboard today.Have to say I am very impressed. Decided to not use iCloud as of this moment, it works but I have privacy and data concerns and it has a few bugs tbh. having duplicate calendar settings is a nightmare. You should be very pleased with it, Steve.  :thumb: You can also use Siri to type when using apps and the on internet as well, so it should work on here to.

Steve

I guess if you sync the Calendar on the iPhone with iCloud and iTunes the potential for dual entries will occur.

I don't think I've ever seen so many people buying a product that was supposed to be so disappointing. Considering how badly it was received at the launch, the sales so far have been truly amazing.

I'm going to wait a month or so before I think about getting the iPhone4s, my iPhone4 is ok at the mo, better camera and siri doesn't really bother me.
