Large screen monitors

I have been thinking of replacing my current monitor with a 24 - 27" monitor with a budget of up to about £400, has anyone had anyone had any experience with Harzo monitors, as one I was looking at is a Hazro hz27wc which uses the same IPS screen as the Apple Cinema Display monitors?

Others that I have considered and better for the pocket are VA panel screens, namely the Iiyama Prolite X2775HDS-B and the soon to be released BenQ EW2730

The Harzo is a 2560 x 1440 display whilst the other 2 are 1920 x 1080, so that would be a plus point if I used the screen with a PC rather than a laptop, it's max resolution is 1920 x 1200.

The only BenQ monitor I've used needed a lot of work to calibrate it, Glenn. Iiyama are, in my experience, good. Harzo is a brand I don't know.

I just stumbled across a Harzo 26" screen on ebay, which is for sale fairly close by, I'm keeping an eye on it.

I have an older iiyama Prolite (E483S) TFT - been in service about 5 years, 5 days a week 9 hrs a day... not had one issue with it.

I can't recommend the Hazro (hz27wc) enough. It's an absolutely awesome example of how much better an IPS panel is over the traditional TN panels. If you can part with the cash then get one ASAP.

Just in case you weren't aware there's two versions of the same model. One with a glass finish and one with a matte finish. The one I've used was the glass finish and while I had no issues some people have commented on noticeable reflections dependent upon the setting/location of where the monitor is to be used.

I use Iiyama and EIZO flat panel monitors at the 24" size. They come well calibrated and the EIZO ones with excellent backlighting. Not the cheapest of course, but I was specifically looking at them for photography use.

I thought I ordered the Matte, but the order states Glass.

Glass should be better for colour reproduction as long as you can keep it away from reflections!!!
