Hi all,

I've been away, just logged on this morning and noticed that my RSS useage feed from Idnet stopped working on 21/10.

I use google reader for the feeds, I've just deleted them and re-added them to the reader and I have a last message on the status feed of 28/10 but the combined feed shows the last useage message on 21st.

Any problems with these feeds?

Sorry, the last message on the status feed is actually this morning at 5.55AM. Nothing since 21st on my useage.

Rik

They're working perfectly here, Sparky. :dunno:

Well, my idnet customer service feed shows:-

WATFORD CMSAN : LOSS OF SERVICE (INCIDENT CANCELLED) : REF 34380 : RESOLVED :- Service: Broadband Posted: Mon, 31 Oct 2011

as the latest entry, but my useage feed shows only this:-

Current Usage - 2011-10-01 to 2011-10-21- Current Usage During the time period 2011-10-01 to 2011-10-21 your bandwidth use was: 4.42 GB

So the RSS feed to my google account is working OK, but for some reason I am not getting the useage figures.

sparky

Just logged on to my idnet account and my bandwidth useage seems to have stopped on 21st October ???

You had no usage, or connection, from October 21, until 9:04 this morning. I'm guessing your router was off? If there's no usage, the RSS feed stops.

Ooops!  Could it be because I switched off my router on 21st to go on holiday ?

Sorry, I didn't know that was how it worked.

It's always good to turn a router off if you're away, you only find out that it stops the RSS feeds when you do. I should have thought to ask. :)

I've always pulled the RSS feeds in using a widget on my iGoogle homepage.

Since the beginning of the month, the 'IDNet customer feed' stats have been two days behind rather than the usual one. Anyone having the same problem?

I've tried deleting and reinstalled the widget, but no joy, and the stats on the main IDNet site are correct, as are the ones brought in via 'IDNet customer feed - light'.  :-\

I don't use Google, so can't make any comment save that it's working OK for me. Could it be something to do with the differing time zones, ie is Google picking up the data later in the day?

It could be. It just seems odd, that one works, and the other doesn't!

I think I'll just delete the out of date one, and stick with the other.  ;)

Rik

Might be worth asking support if they have any ideas...

It's ok... I'm happy with at least one working.  ;)
