This is a really dumb question, I know, but indulge me please....
Having posted for some info on soundcards, I'm looking to buy the Asus Xonar DX card. Trouble is that they currently only ship with Vista drivers, but W7 drivers are available for download on Asus' site.
So I don't want to install the Vista drivers from the supplied disc then update, I want to install the correct Windows7 downloaded ones from the start.
Do I have to unzip them and burn them to a disc, then load in the normal way, or can I just load them from a known location on the computer.
I feel really stupid asking this question.

You should have no trouble installing them from a location on your computer. :)

Download the rar file, extract the contents to a temporary folder and run the setup.exe. Once installed delete the temporary folder and it's contents.

Some RAR or ZIP programs even allow you to install from the zip, you just click the setup.exe/install.exe file when WinZip or WinRare loads up the zip file. :)
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
