.Griff.

At exactly midnight my connection went down for approximately five minutes.

PPP is now back but I've been assigned that weird 172.16.41.130 IP address we've seen happen a few times in the last year. As a result my connection is useless.

Anyone seeing this tonight?

.Griff.

For the record my area code us 01922 if anyone can check the usual avenues for me. It's a nightmare to do so myself via the phone.

It's not on any of the PEWs either although there was a lot of planned BT work last night.

Possibly a knock on from work at a node?

All seems back to normal now. Thanks.

.Griff.

It's happened again.

Sync remained to but ppp went down and I've been assigned a weird IP address.

Niall

Me too. Getting the BT wholesale page too so I can't see the net. Ace.

Same here. On phone atm.

.Griff.

Looks like a lot of us are affected according to the wait to speak to someone at idnet.

psp83

Same here! Any info on the problem yet?

.Griff.

If anyone gets through to idnet by phone can they update this thread please?

Tacitus

I'm not getting anything. DSL connected but no Internet. I'm in the East Mids & sending this from my phone

zappaDPJ

I got through to the out of hours so I've no idea what the problem is.

I was attempting to pay my yearly bill when I lost the net!

PPP down here too, fine on Telefonica line, so it suggests a BT problem.

I'm in Stevenage hertfordshire - same issue no net

Come home gagging to play mw3 and no net

.Griff.

Have you spoken to support rik? I'm on hold but if someone on here has already spoken to them I can hang up and free up their hold system.

Edit - I'm not even getting the wholesale message Simon. Just a weird IP, subnet mask and gateway.

Rik

I've alerted IDNet directly, I'm just wondering if BT have cut them off again. :(

Same problem as everyone else. Lost PPP, then it came back up with the wrong IP. Every reboot leads to the same. Certainly smells of a BT issue as this is what happened the last time they screwed up.

Luckily managed to get wifi sharing working on my phone.
