Interesting, thanks Griff - message passed on. :)

I might be wrong about it Rik but for example here's a Be customer in Highams Park

Identical start time to the outage. Coincidence maybe..

Rik

Miriam says it was down to a core router, so I'm not sure why Be would be having problems - perhaps they came out in sympathy? Or was it an IDNet customer with a Be connection?

Joel

definitely still down here, reboot has done nothing

Rik

Try powering off for 15 minutes, then try again, if that doesn't work, call support, you should be able to get through now.

Just got home to no connection, reboot of router and all seems fine!

Be retail customer. Maybe it is just a coincidence then or there's a second issue out there affecting some.

My Telefonica (Be) line took a while to get PPP, which would fit with the IDNet core router - or something on the Be network. Toss a coin time, I guess. ;)

Reya

Rebooted everything and still no connection here (Norfolk). Should I try powering down for 10 mins?
I was cut out to be rich but got sewn up wrong.

Rik

Yes, if that fails, call support.

Did they give any more detail? Most people seem OK now.

Can't get used to Miriams new name yet. ;D

Alf :)

Reya

Still nothing after a power-down. Support took my details and said someone would call me back. Also said services are returning slowly (with the emphasis on slowly).

The last error message Chrome gave me was an issue with resolving DNS, but that was probably simply due to complete lack of connection.

Joel

she did not give any detail, engineers are working, no ETA....

Joel

anyone else still down? I'm getting a bit annoyed, one post saying its all fixed yet I phone and hear the opposite.

Reya

Still down here, Joel, and no callback from Support over an hour after I phoned. To cap it all, my phone signal is slow as hell tonight, so checking stuff online is taking ages.

Oh well. I've got one of those things made of paper with words on, to tide me over until bedtime. I think it's called a book  ;D

Hope everyone else gets going soon.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

I just had another blip, same symptoms (BT Wholesale page).

[EDIT] My connection appears to be a little touchy just now. I'll reboot my router and modem to see if that cures things.

Just got up for work (yes, at 03:45am) and I still have no connection. What the heck's going on?  :'(

Reya

Just checked my broadband quality meter via my phone and it shows approx 1 hour of complete packet loss and then it's absolutely blank after that and until now. No red; just nothing. Is that any help in diagnosing what could be wrong?

I have to leave for work now, but will check forums during my breaktimes.

Bah!  :-\

I think you need to check with support!
