Back here  :) West Sussex, 01243
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Simon

Tbh, I wouldn't bother trying to phone. They must be aware as they've obviously already had so many calls.

Tacitus

Back here in East Mids.  Any official explanation for what happened?

Technical Ben

Same here. Guess the exact moment I turned the PC back on?
18:30 :D
Now it's back (As of 18:51/52) :P

Was "connected" but no "life" on the internet.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Maybe a host link falling over, as a possible cause?

By the same token if we all agreed not to call how would we get an update? I wanted to get through to someone so I could post back on here and stop further people calling.

This has now happened to me three times this week but the other two occasions were in the early hours of the morning when I doubt there were many people online at the time to notice. Unlike tonight.

Finallyhere

I'm still down - rebooting router now to see if that help

sparkler

i lost internet for a about an hour

.Griff.

It's early days but I don't think this affected Idnet only.

Other ISP users are seeing the same "outage" of their latency graphs too.
