I can't get my head round how you would use this plus it's not cheap either.

Shhh. The patent layers will be onto you about that one! Besides, it's not "new", they have been around for years. Tables though, they are the next big thing! No one has tried a touch screen chair, so I think that's the logical next step.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
