DVD drive tray wont open ?

ok not used it for quite some time as everything is online these days.

wanted to put in a Tonka Workshop disc for baby boy and i find the drive wont open....light on and it sounds like its trying to open but its stuck.

any ideas ?!

Try a pin in the little hole at the side of the tray?

That would be my suggestion too, it sounds like the drawer mechanism has, indeed, become stuck.

ok pushed in a pin and the drive activates and loads the disc that is in it.

but it still is not opening ?

In which case, you probably need to think about buying a new drive, I'm afraid.

If the power was on at the time, it might be worth trying the pin again with the power off first.

Push the pin in and hold it there while pressing the button on the drive.
