I always got a speed of about 6.3mb and a ping of about 35.

As far as I know nothing has changed but these days it's just not as good.

What does a BT test reveal?

How are you performing the speedtest? Wired or wireless?

Steve

The kids have been off today so the exchanges are probably busy. A BT speed test would give us the profile , the router stats look fine.

Wired, it's not just today it's been for a while but I just put up with it. I will most likely get up early one morning and reboot the router and see if it syncs at a higher speed. Why do you think the ping has gone up so much?

Steve

I think I'd need to see a ping to  www.idnet.net to get a valid comparison as speedtest.net can be variable depending on how busy the server is. Interleave probably adds 10-15mSec.

I don't suppose you setup a TBBQM at any point? http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,27354.0.html

That would indicate if the increase in latency was sudden, gradual or is congestion.
