Actually, one last question... Is it best to not power down or reboot the router? I don't want to slow down any progress.

Steve

Leave well alone the IP profile changes require a stable connection.

Thanks Steve, just got a response from IDnet saying the same thing :)

"We have put through a reset of the circuit for you. This should correct the profile mismatch you can see in your test. Please allow 72 hours for the changes. Please do not turn off/reboot the router unless absolutely necessary."

Something good has come out of this. I have been switched from INTERLEAVING to FAST :) Much better ping times. Profile still at 500k but at least something is happening. Hopefully, it may go up sometime tomorrow.

Just a quick update. I am back to full speed. I jumped straight from the 500k profile to 7150k about 20 mins ago  :thumb:

Just don't keep watching it because you know what they say

A watched pot line profile never boils rises.

I do agree though it can be frustrating, I was once on a 350k banded profile so it would never rise until I asked my ISP to ask BT to remove the banding.

Thankfully they seem to have got rid of the banding by all accounts.
