Just stumbled upon this

http://www.spaldwick.com/billion-7800n

Has anybody either seen this or tried to play with their router to improve performance. I'm happy with mine but some posts suggest some people are less than content.

I've not tried any tweaks as I have a stable full sync on adslmax, so SNR reduction is not an option. I'm not sure about the PhyR as it's not new technology  and I think although I maybe wrong on that the exchange has to have a compatible DSLAM.

I've changed my ADSL settings on the Billion 7800N to:

Protocol: PPPoE
Encap. method: LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING

This has allowed the router to be able to automatically reconnect to IDNet instead of getting error messages that loops over and over should you get a auth or BT hostlink failure or some other issue that IDNet gets. On PPPoA you would have had to manually reboot the router to make a connection to IDNet again.
