Only BT know, sadly, but it's happened before with lines going to a distant exchange, rather than a close one.

My exchange is 1.76km distant, nearest one to me is probably a lot closer than that

My line is now saying March 31st 2012 for FTTC

Everytime it gets close, BT move it another 3 months away
