Firefox 9.0.21 has been released to stop a crash on startup on OS X. Both version 9 and 9.0.1 have a bug so that favicons may not appear from the drop down bookmarks menu (OS X drop down menu) To rectify this till a new release comes out in the filter (about:config) section type, image.mem.decodeondraw
Double-click the entry that results to change it's value to "False"

I Imagine this will be fixed in FF 10  ::)

Thanks, Gary. I must confess I don't like this rapid release cycle, they seem to be pushing out too many bugs. :(

Google do it, but they have big bucks behind them, thankfully Mozilla announced that some deal has been done with google, but I agree, tbh I have not bothered with doing the fix as it means some pages with large amounts of images don't load so well, I can still read and the toolbar still has favicons, but this bug should have been caught in beta, so should the crash. saying that the browser at lasts supports Lions gestures correctly  ::) Something Chrome got very quickly, I just don't like Chrome, at this rate every phone, browser and online document possessor will be Google owned, I am not keen on that, especially after Google was accused of berating Firefox's security after it released a browser comparison recently, commissioned by itself oddly enough and saying Chrome was the safest, something Microsoft did back in the summer too... :slap:
