Tried to update my package today. It seems they don't really care about the customer. The package I was after is advertised clear as day. When i asked if I could upgrade I was told the package doesn't begin to the second of September. Why no mention of this anywhere on their site.Oh well time to go.Truly awful customer relations.IDNet really fall on their backside in this department. >:(

Glenn

What package were you trying to upgrade from/to?

Shame I wonder where the misunderstanding lies?

It's only taken me about 3 months to say, this is the best isp that I have been with.No hassle great speeds compared to the "so called big companies".Ok I might be over my usage from time to time but what the hell at least I know the extra cash is going into somewhere that the company actually care about it's customers. Many tanks for having me.

AFAICT the packages advertised are exactly the same as they have been for some time.  The obvious conclusion is that upgrading is dependent on BT to do something at the exchange or, provide FTTC and, in this particular case in the OP's area, this is unlikely to be completed until September.

If that is the case, it is clearly a misunderstanding on the part of the OP.

Talk about jumping to conclusions and not understanding things.

It sounds like you wanted FTTC, for which your exchange has been enabled. Unfortunately, your cabinet has not, as yet. IDNet uses BT's checker on their site, which often fails to distinguish between cabinet and exchange. When you try to order, a more accurate database is used by that system, and the service can become unavailable as a result.

Same happened to me when Devizes exchange was enabled, I asked support to be upgraded and they said I can't until X date.

If its for FTTC/P, be patient, if your cab is given a date, put another 3 months on top of that date yourself as BT will move the first date.
