Outlook Express setup to receive hotmail ?

can anyone help on how to set up an outlook express client to receive hotmail ?

wife is trying to set it up on her newish laptop.  i've never had a hotmail account so not sure where/what settings are needed for hotmail ?

i thought used a browser for it, but its something to do with wanting to snyc stuff with a new tablet phone she's bought....

Sorry, I don't use Hotmail, but a quick Google search finds this:

thanks simon i found something on microsoft.com that i tried but it was talking about selecting HTTP as the server and then it populated other fields itself but did not work.

will read yours and try it out !

I think, when you're setting it up, there will be an option in OE to configure a Hotmail account, which will use default settings anyway.

the one from microsoft was telling me so set the incoming server at http.  this gave errors.

your link has worked and its downloading her 3000+ mails lol
