Very slow here for the last half hour or so.

Hi.  Anyone experiencing slow speeds and packet loss within the last half hour?  Pages are taking ages to load?   I'm in Dorset?

I don't know about packet loss, but the server that the forum runs on has been intermittently slow for the past few weeks, the problem is being looked in to by support.

I'm really up and down here right now.  Very slow-loading on most pages.  Nothing watchable on Youtube.  Going to turn off now and go to work.   We will see what it is like later  ???

Almost unusable service last night and this morning.  Trying to do the BT Speedtester since yesterday morning.  Damn things just says it can perform a test on my line at the moment.  Lot of use that is!

It's a common problem with the BT speedtester.

Have you called support about your problem?

If you keep trying the speedtester it will work, it took 4 or 5 attempts for me to get it to work the other day. www.speedtest.net will give you an indication of your throughput, but BT do need the results of their own tester.

switch your router off for 30 minutes and then let it reconnect.

Thanks to everyone who replied.  Support phoned me.  There is a problem at my local exchange which they are working on presently, hopefully to be cleared by 2pm. ;)
