We don't know what the other site is, Baz.

We don't know, Baz. Apart from Pals, we've never known who's co-hosted since the server move.

This might help you find the site  ;)

Some sites may not show on that list if they've had another IP address set.

Gary

the business sites on the server are probably slow on wet Sundays  ;)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

JB

It's ironic that one of the sites on Pauls list is www.sustainabledrainage.co.uk

Might need their services if this rain continues.

I think we're under the same cloud, JB, it's weird to think it was warm and dry a month ago. :)
You do know "Cloud" is just a new word for "server" right? A new word with twice the cost.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Rik

I hope IDNet's servers aren't this wet, Ben.

Indeed Ben, it's a marketing term as is utility computing.

Technical Ben

That's a new one to me. Does utility computing run on Gas, water and electric?

They replaced the mice in the wheels then.

Depends on the specific Data Centre but the idea is that the customer has no care about the equipment used to provide the service as is the case with electricity i.e. you don't think about the gas or nuclear power plant.

It's interchangeable with cloud computing really.

Rik

Average page load times 30-60 seconds, 14:10 onwards... :(

That bar is always there but SMF, the forum software, is coded to a high enough standard so that you normally wouldn't see it or at worst it might appear very briefly. That fact that it's just hanging there, something I've personally seen a lot in the last few weeks, is another indication that the host server is not responding well.

In fact 'not responding well' has just been not responding at all for the last half hour or so. At least that's how it's been for me.

i'm now getting a mix of ok loading then sluggish then back again

zappaDPJ

It's the same for me Baz. I know IDNet are aware there are problems, hopefully something will be done about it soon :fingers:

Bill

There's certainly something strange going on- it was completely unresponsive for about an hour earlier on, but I could ping it with times of ~10-15mSec.

I'd also taken the liberty of setting up a BQM to it earlier in the day- not good:

But even with all that red I can still ping it from here :dunno:

Routing problem maybe?
