any one else got the same

Glenn

It's been slow at times throughout the day Baz. It took approx 45 - 60 seconds to post a reply just now.

Baz

Glenn

We have been told it's something to do with a website that we share the server with.

Small end of a pipe with a website that has a higher priority then, Glenn.  :(

:( Says a lot without having to use words really. The help site for their own product should have a higher priority.  :shake:

I'm a little surprised this has only just been reported as the forums have been running slow or unreachable for a while now. Perhaps it's just that members can't report it if the site is not responding. It would be useful to know how much disruption this is actually causing so if you are having problems please leave a post here even if it's after the event. Thanks :)

Slow from here too at random times.

JB

I moved to Zen just over a month ago and had put the slowness of IDNetters down to no longer being on the same network. Although everything else is normal and fast. Looks like it has nothing to do with my change of provider if IDNet subscribers are experiencing slowness too.

It's one of the co-hosted sites on the server we share, JB. It hogs all the resources at certain times, and the forum just stops or slows down to an unworkable pace, eg 2 minutes to load a page. We've also had a competition, possibly on the same site, which took us out for some time due to 75,000 people trying to enter it.

Thanks for the info Rik, nice and reassuring. I guess when you make a change you are always suspecting something you are not too familiar with.

Pouring down here in Cheshire with an really strong easterly wind. 18C and sunny on the Costa Blanca. Have got lots to do outside here in UK for the next two months but the WX isn't helping one bit.

I think we're under the same cloud, JB, it's weird to think it was warm and dry a month ago. :)

It started here about 7am yesterday, I don't think it has stopped for more than an hour since.

Ditto. Still, we only need about another 180 days like this to replenish the aquifers. :)
