For the last 24 hours or so I've been getting quite a number of intermittent lag spikes lasting somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds. I had a number just after 8.00pm which appeared on my BQM and I can see it was the same for a few other members. They are occurring again just now.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? They are quite visible on a BQM and would be very noticeable to anyone playing an on-line game.

Yes I'm getting the exact same thing - just had another about 5 mins ago - disconnected me from Star Wars!! :rant2:  The horror!

I was getting directed to a BT page saying there was a disruption to the service.

Nothing showing on my TBBQM:

Might be a regional thing. I'm in Brackley but apparently we're connected to the Banbury exchange.

I'm getting the same on my BQM which I've not seen before.

I can see that the same three (at the time of posting) spikes appear on a number of staff BQMs but not all of them so I'm not sure whether the issue is geographical or otherwise.

From the graphs I've seen, it looks like mine was the only one to drop a connection.

I had no internet this morning at 5.30, the modem/router needed rebooting to get access, I notice that Steve seems to have the same spike showing on his graph too.

Still clean on my graph overnight.

I swapped my modem then, just wondering whether I can be bothered to find out why my FTTC is not performing as well as it was. My guess is increasing crosstalk as I was an early adoptor on the cabinet

My 80/20 connection is running at 34/14.

I'm 44/9 down from 54/9 with latency up.  The max attainable downstream sync is still 55 but BT is only letting me have 44

Likewise on the WMMAL exchange. I also got a disconnect: the first in 21 days. IDNet upgraded me to 80/20 last night and things look to be pretty stable. My Fritz!Box log is showing a 79992/20000 connection. I have just run a speediest and got 65 Down and 10 Up with a Ping of 13. Clearly, something strange happened between 8pm and midnight last night.
