Which Laptop ?

TBH, Wilf, that's a brand and store (I'm assuming it came from PC World?) that I would have avoided like the plague.  :(

That or Currys, ( same cr*ppy company ) same view here Rik,  TBH if Wilf had have asked which Laptop's to avoid, the Packard Bell's would have been top of my list.

Oh well, some you win, some you lose. :(

Indeed. Even if buying a premium brand, eg HP, Toshiba etc, I would avoid DSG. Their idea of their responsibilities under the Sale and Supply of Goods Act is sketchy, to say the least. :(

I don't think so Rik, I bought it instore at Currys.

That's a shame, Wilf. I try to get most things mail order, as you then have the Distance Sellings regs to play with. If the lappy was mis-described in any way, or if you asked for advice and were recommended to it but it does not meet the criteria you set, you might still have a case.

Actually I am using it now and it seems okay, but of coarse it's early days.
