hi guys, about to subscibe to IDnet but have been asked the following option:

"Additional IP addresses
Tick this box if you require additional fully routed static IP addresses. Please note this option is an  extra £5 per month for 2 usable addresses. A single static IP address is provided as standard. Please note that all IP address allocations are subject to strict requirements set out by RIPE."

My question is do i need two IP addresses if i am running 2 computers off the same Router/modem?

My knowledge points to 'no i don't', the Ip addresses within the LAN are seperate from the one IDnet will supply me.

Thought i had better check first. thanks.

One external IP address (the standard) is all most people need, your router will allocate individual IP addresses on the 'internal' range for as many computers as connect (there is a theoretical limit, but I don't know anyone with more than 200 computers :)). If, otoh, you were running a server, say, you might want additional addresses.
