Hi guys, I'm not yet an IDNetter as I've just moved into a new flat and BT haven't connected the phone line up but will be joining as soon as they get their act together.  My previous ISP was Metronet which used to be pretty good but seems to have gone downhill since being acquired by Force 9.  Hence the move to IDNet following recommendations on adslguide.org.uk.
My question relates to ADSL hardware.  I had 8 IPs from Metronet and will be asking for the same from IDNet when I get hooked up.  The modem I was using before was a cheap and cheerful Dynamode job which passed everything through to my router.  Unfortunately they seem to be discontinued and I need a new modem.  Could anyone suggest a simple, reliable modem that will cope with multiple IP addresses and will do up to 8MB/s?

Thanks in advance - looking forward to becoming a proper IDNetter soon!

Yes, Netgear do the DG834, DG843G and DG834GT will do the lot, you won`t need 2 separate pieces of kit :)

Thanks for the reply - I'll look into the Netgear modems.  I actually use m0n0wall (http://m0n0.ch/wall )as my router as I need it for IPSec, Proxy ARP etc. so all I need is a really basic modem with no frills, so to speak!

Have you seen what m0n0wall will do?  It's about as far from basic as it is possible to get!
