I upgraded to 40/10 about 6 weeks ago and the upgrade went through as planned and with 3 small tweaks to my Fritz!Box settings, I had a DSL synch of 40/10. Last week, I upgraded to 80/20 and again this appeared to go through smoothly. My System Log indicated that I had a current throughput of 79992/20000 and a BT Speedtest revealed that I was on a 77.43/20 IP profile. That said, I couldn't get an upstream speed of more than 9.9 and my system log showed that I was on a 44/11 DSL synchronisation. The confusing thing was that I could get downstream speeds in excess of 74Mbps. This morning, I left my Fritz!Box unplugged for an hour and when it re-booted nothing had changed.

As my FB has had numerous beta and formal firmware updates in the 15 months that I have owned it, I decided to do one final thing. Painful as it is when it comes to set up, I pressed the Factory Reset button. Voila: I now have an IP of 77.43/20 and test speeds of 74/17.5. My DSL synch is now showing 79992/40 after training.

This may just be a FB thing - or even just my box; however, noting that others have been disappointed with speeds after an 80/20 upgrade I thought that I would post just in case my experience is of help to others.
