Mrs keybored is currently away and using an O2 dongle on her laptop. She can receive my emails using Outlook but is unable to send anything. Is there a way round this or is it a case of using webmail.idnet.com?
TIA

Thanks Glenn! She's only away until the weekend so told her to try webmail; just had a text message to say she's tried that and it still won't let her send me an email  Told her to login to google mail and try that instead  Ho hum!

The settings on my iPhone are:

In: imap.idnet.com
User Name: xxxxx
Password: xxxxxx

Out: smtp.idnet.com
SSL: Off
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 587

Those work on my IDNet WiFi, and on 3G away from home.

Thanks Simon but not worth the hassle of talking her through the changes as she's back on Saturday. She's managed to login to her gmail a/c so is using that for now.  :thumb:

Just for future ref.

Most 3G dongle / mifi connections only support outgoing port 587.

Port 25 & 26 are normally blocked, so if you have the email client setup to use this then you won't be able to send email when using the dongle.
