Anyone use it, or know what it is?  Is it connected with Apple?  I've just been asked about it, and have looked on the website with my phone, but can't really see what it's all about, and whether it is actually free, legal, or otherwise.

Thanks Baz.  As usual, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is...

I've still got friends telling me how great this "legal" website is that's called mp3.com. I mean, it must be legal right, cos the website says it is. /sarcasm.  :shake:
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

pctech

chances are its probably legal in the US only, imesh that is.

Steve

iMesh is legal but you have to live the US or Canada to have the premium subscription service which allows additional 'copyrighted' downloads.

Oh, cool. It was MP3.com that ignored copyright all together, under the proviso (is that the word?) that there was no copyright in their country.

The most recent sites are so bad, they charge per track download, even if it's a "fake" mp3 track. They just use spiders to scrape content off of sites, then sell them on as mp3s. Trouble is, people are stupid enough to pay them for the "songs" that turn out to be rips of copyrighted music, home recordings and even free music.  :slap:

iMesh sucks don't use it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shareaza#History (why i hate it) if you after music 7digital.com legal and drm free or if your after video's use the piratebay.se and pirate it until they actually release them drm free and are available from uk online stores instead of just us stores only

Steve

Obviously we cannot condone the download or use of copyrighted material although I would agree it appears that there are different rules depending on which side of the pond you live.
