I have been experiencing 'Session Timeout errors' on the Cahoot secure banking site which reports that my Browser is not set to accept cookies. FF however is set to the default privacy setting of 'Remember History' if I change this setting to 'Use custom history settings' I don't get the timeout errors.

The problem is every time FF is restarted it reverts to the default 'Remember history' setting  :wall: , does anyone know how to make the custom settings stick when the browser is restarted?

I think you can make Exceptions in the Cookie Manager to allow chosen website cookies to 'stick', but other than that, can't help, Ray.

dont understand that one Ray as I have my FF settings at 'Use custom settings for history ' as you do but mine stays that way on closing

on the same Privacy tab I have   'Remember my browsing and download history' ;  'Accept cookies from sites' ; ' Accept third-party cookies' and ' Clear history when firefox closes '   all ticked.

dont know if that helps.

ive also noticed a lot of sites now that have a little pop up asking about their use of cookies and if you want to save them etc when you visit their site.

IDNet have one too dont they?
