Just a quick update....

My test router arrived from IDNet last Friday, as promised.  However, I didn't even need to take it out of the box, since my connection has not dropped at all since then (fingers crossed it stays that way!), so sent test router back.  Not sure what the problem was to be honest.  All my lights are back to normal on my router (including the strange 'missing' light), and have been since Thursday night, so I don't think the issue was the router.  Brian informed me that prior to sending the router, there was no fault showing on the line, so who knows???  It's a mystery to me, but I'm just happy it's resolved itself, to be honest.  I've now put a spell on my router so that its lights never disappear again....!!!!!

Thanks to all who tried to assist.

Moonshine.
