Had a 8am-1pm slot this morning. The BT Openreach guy phoned at 7:55am to say he was at the cabinet and was going to change me over to the new one.

A few minutes later he arrives at the house and within a few minutes the new faceplate is on the socket and the modem is out and booted up. A quick check by me that all is working is all that is needed, it is and so he is happy (probably because the first job of the day is done is 20 minutes).

Before he left, I got him to hook up his equipment to let me know the sync. It showed I'm getting maximum sync on my 80/20mb connection, happy days!

Check it in 2 - 3 days time and see if interleaving gets applied, most FTTC connections have it applied automatically.

Lance

Don;t worry, I'll be keeping a close eye on it!

I upgraded to 80/20 (IDNet) over a month ago and whilst there is evidence in my router log of some interleaving I am getting a consistent Ping of 8 and actual speeds of 73.99/17.45. ;D
