I have been using a Draytek 2820 for quote a while now. And I kept using it when moving to FTTC. It did handle the 40/10 quite well I think, and I did not have any issues. But now that I am switched to 80/20, I start to see some issues and need to reboot my router from time to time.
1 - The speed I see when behind the router is lower than expected, and by some 15 Mb, so a fair bit in fact.
2 - My voip phone is playing up and I end up with one way audio only.

So minor issues, but I reckon the 2820 is being overloaded with the VDSL2 line. However, I do need IP forwarding. I like the built-in firewall as well as the dial-up from remote location. I use it to sometime grab something remotely on my machine. So what advise?

I am thinking Draytek 2850, but what is anyone else using or suggesting?

Thanks

JM

Yes, the 2820 ( 2820SVn ) is only spec'd at 50Mb throughput according to this http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/comparison.html. The 2850 should be fine since that's spec'd at 100Mb.

As I'd rather have English Tech support than German, I opted for the Draytek...

I know, that's a lame excuse.
