This is getting very annoying now. I've listed the last date I have recorded for each speed there. They change the noise level, then drop and connect at a lower speed.

Can anyone hazard a guess at what's going on? I'm sick to death of this now. NOTHING at my end has changed, so it's either external or the exchange. Do people see this sort of problem when their exchange is due to go fiber, 6 months down the line? Either that, or whatever BT told me was fixed, actually wasn't. I now have no annual leave left until next year, so getting an engineer out is not an option.

You may well have ended up with a banded adsl2+ profile - the upper limit of that band being 6656. I would check with support some interference somewhere has done you.

Yeah, Miriam was helpful last time. Although she couldn't really tell me anything, which is to be expected, she got my line reset and it was at 15mb for a few weeks, then dropped a little, then it's been what I mention above. It just seems the line is getting less stable and there are more errors on it, which is as I expected support would say last time I contacted them.

I thought the last drop was due to the council relaying the tarmac directly over where my line connects underground, before leading to the box at the top of the estate about 50m away, presumably in a straight line (or 100-150 if not). As it turned out, nothing changed when they finished, so it wasn't that. It's really frustrating knowing that barring a lottery win, I'll never get the lines replaced. I'm tempted to get a mortgage and move in across the road from work as it's about 20ft from the exchange :D

I don't know if IDnet saw this post and reset my line (if so, thanks!) or if BT have done some work, but I've just noticed that I'm not getting as much lag/slowdown as I was in the last week (mother has discovered the joy of laughing babies and amusing cats on Youtube :( ) and it seems that while I was in work my line has reset back to just over 11mb, and the noise margin increased from what I posted above, to 12.2db.

A temporary yay is in order :D

I'm having problems too! not sure if I will be able to post this.  :shake:

Oddly my noise margin has increased to 14.8 and my speed has now gone down. I don't know if the line has dropped during the day, and has stabilised now without the speed increasing again, or what, but it's all over the place.

I really hope cable comes around here at some point. I'm sick to death of this :(
