Baz

just getting to grips with this change of router i got and wondered about settings

does it make any difference what encapsulation I choose

what about 'Does your Internet connection require a login?'   I dont actually type a login every time but does it need this

Technical Ben

Yes, your internet connection uses a login (at the first time it turns on. :) ). I'm not sure about encapsulation without the help of google though.  :red:
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Your old router had the same settings, Baz.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Technicallly you can run PPPoE over the BT Wholesale network too that allows you to increase the MTU to 1500 but the tradeoff is a little lower speed.
