Does anyone here use Viber? http://www.viber.com/

I'm particularly interested in finding out more about this from their FAQ:

QuoteOnce you and your friends install Viber, you can use it to talk and message as much as you want. Talk, message, and talk and message some more and it's all free*!
* When you use Viber on a 3G network you might incur operator data charges or internet access fees.

I'm probably asking the obvious here but I'm assuming if I call from home it'll use my Wi-Fi connection and it will be free to call but if I'm out and about and using 3G it'll not save me a penny?

That's right Zap, it's a VoIP app.

Uses a ton of data and I think you can't log out of it, well that was the way with one of the older versions I tried, also hammered battery life.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Other than that, it's fine?

Thanks Gary, data and battery usage shouldn't be an issue for the two people that want to use it, me and my daughter. The biggest problem seems to be that phone calls just don't work. Neither of us can answer each other's calls when we ring :dunno:
