Quite like the idea of this intelligent lighting system made by Phillips, however at £179 for the starter packer (which includes 3 bulbs) and £50 for any additional bulbs it's a considerable investment. I think I'll carry on using the light switch, who knows a years time maybe they will be a lot  cheaper.

Or perhaps use normal bulbs and a dimmer?

They've replaced the normal street lamps in the car parks around work with white LED lights which are really quite dull in comparison.

I think it's the idea that you can have any colour ( including off) at any time of day that intrigues me. I know in my locale the number of evening burglaries has gone up recently so as a security device it may have possibilities - well that would be my persuading argument if she asked.

Delivery time quoted as 3-4 months, I wonder why they bother listing them.
