I'm a great fan of technology, provided it has an off button.

I must admit I'm a tad disturbed by what I've read about stuff being developed for example Tanaris and Mantis which are autonomous planes and drones that can operate without control from the ground.

Sure there are trigger happy flyboys but if there are is no control from the ground and the machine can choose to cut off communication from the ground what would stop it choosing its own 'threats'
