I'm struggling to successfully reach the forums for a game i'm playing online called Battlestar Galactica online.

the forums I need to reach are @ http://en.board.bigpoint.com/bgo but i consistently get :

The connection has timed out
The server at en.board.bigpoint.com is taking too long to respond.

A traceroute tried to the url yields what looks like an issue within the idnet network, but would if possible like to know if others get similar problems ?

I seem to also not be able to connect to their Europe servers either, and am limited to playing on much slower US servers.  As i'm based i the UK, ideally want to be able to get to the euro servers.

Any clues?  I've tried switching DNS servers to various others with no success

I can access via 3G so if you've changed DNS servers I would assume it's a question for support.

It's working from a non-IDNet connection, but it took about 5 seconds to resolve.

Working ok for me from non IDNet connection, I'll PM you the traceroute.

Looking at yours it looks like a routing loop but using OpenDNS for example may yield a different IP that will work for the time being.

I've tried opendns and various others, and have also checked to ensure the url is not being blocked locally on my pc.  It happens on all pc's on my home LAN.

Tried an ipconfig /flushdns to clear the cache too.

have sent a mail to support@idnet.com
