Anyone else experiencing loss of Internet in the Bromley area today (15 Dec 2012) phone OK, but no Internet. A all since about 6PM IDNet status says all OK, I have rebooted router several times.

Yeap mines been down for a few hours I'm connected but CHAP auth is failed? I'm the Bucks area.

Steve

Nothing showing on Zen or AAISP either. Perhaps BT are dragging their feet on reports.

Oh dear I forgot how silly it is to call the support people who just ask a few stupid questions as if I'm an idiot then have to pass the call on leaving me waiting for some one to call me back.

Glenn

That will be the call centre for out of hours

I guess I won't get a real responce until Monday?

Glenn

Are you able to mail support over your phone?

Yea I guess I could would that make any difference from the call centre raising my case with them?

Glenn

I've emailed them, they should look into no service reports.

Thanks, been offline for atleast 4-5 hours now. I'm connected with sync just no internet connection. :(

Steve

No faults showing still, I guess this is one for IDNet, hopefully you'll get a response.  :fingers:

I hope so, will it likely be Monday until I hear from anyone? I guess if I'm lucky the connection might come back up.

Simon

I'm in West Sussex, and no connection problems here, although, the IDNet website still seems to be playing up.

Sounds like a BT RADIUS issue as I'm sure IDNet have their RADIUS load balanced so it would be less likely to completely fail.

BT on the other hand....

Steve

What we should have asked you both to do is turn off the router for 30 mins (if you've not already done so ) and then try again.

We're up the road in Bexley -no internet access since last night, and it's still off this morning. Router switched on and off a number of times, and once for 30 minutes... Still nothing.
Is anyone looking into this issue?

Steve

I'm not sure what's going on, I cannot currently find any reported BT outages. Glenn has informed the 'daytime' support via email whether there's been a response yet I've no idea.  :fingers:

My broadband has been down since 3pm yesterday. slough, Berkshire.

Log show LCP is down, followed by, I presume inevitable, chap authentication error.

Gave up on weekend support after 15 mins in a call queue. At least it isn't just me.

Steve

I've sent an email as well this am.

Mines still down, I have sync but no internet connection. LCP down CHAP failed. If it was a BT fault would I still het sync? My sync has dropped after each reboot but no connection.

On a separate note I am guessing everyone who has lost connection is usine their 'smartphone' to post on here. It's not so easy to do as there is no mobile site available to post to!

Not too bad on an ipad, but I am a rubbish touchscreen typist  ;D I suppose I could always check to see anyone has left their wifi unsecured

brian_idnet

Hi All,

Apologies, We are currently investigating an outage affecting some customers and are working to restore service ASAP. As soon as we have further info/resolution I will post back to confirm

The forum has a WAP version, which is easier to navigate on a smartphone:

Guys, for those accessing via a mobile, there is a basic wap interface you can use. http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?wap2

We have been revisiting Tapatalk now it is a more mature product, Zap has tested it on other forums that he maintains and it looks promising.

Oh I forgot about the wap site, I didn't realise I can reply and sign in on it too. Tapatalk would be good, I use that for other forums .  Thanks for the update btw, is it an idnet fault?

Warren

Broadband is now back up for me in Slough.

Woohoo

Thanks all

mk1

Just checked mines back too yay

brian_idnet
