It looks like I managed to order one of the few available Nexus 4 phones today.

There are a lot of unhappy peeps on several forums complaining about Google now.

Simon, no idea, they sold out in about 20 minutes in Oz, a little longer here. It might be that Google didn't allow pre-orders to gauge demand.

Also it has never been a mainstream product, but with specs close to or better than the Samsung S3 http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_nexus_4_e960-5048.php, but half the release price, demand seems to have been high.

It seems today most of these items have a difficulty getting production numbers up. They might seem simple little things, but getting the screen, CPU and ram through a production line in perfect condition is both time consuming and delicate. Putting a ton of money up front for a production, without a guarantee of a sale is also a problem too. At least as far as I can see.

Glen has your Nexus 4 been delivered ? I ordered 16Gb on the 5th Dec 11.05am 5-6 weeks delivery slot. So not expecting mine before January. I can wait......

I am following the delivery threads on Android central forum and xda seems some have been sent out to the uk this week....

Yes, I got it on the first wave, about 17th November, it's a very slick device, I'm sure you will be happy once it arrives. There aren't to many cases available for it just yet, I did contact Otterbox, but they had no plans to make one, however I believe Ballistic are making a decent one. Currently I have mine in a cheap plastic case, it was on special offer at Amazon, 99p delivered.
