Hi,

Simple question: is there any holes under the firtzbox to allow wall mounting? And if yes, would the network ports be facing up or down?

I could not find a single picture from below, so I am a bit worried that would not work from me.

Thanks

My Fritz!Box 7390 is wall mounted, it has two usual mounting slots at the rear and the ports face downwards. Just one minor point the legend on the face of the modem/router are upside down when wall mounted, but I can live with that for its feature set. There is a cheaper model I think if you don't want the analogue phone/DECT/PABX function. (The side USB port is used for connection to a hard disk I use as an NAS server, but there is also another USB port at the base too - either of then can be used to connect a printer or even a compatible dongle for a fall-back 3g connection if you really want to. Ignore the white cable!) At base two analogue ports, one ISDN (not used in UK), 4 LAN - no. 1 can also be used for ADSL input which is not required for use as a VDSL modem for UK FTTC for which there is a separate joint phone and DSL input port, and a port for a VOIP/internet phone if you have subscribed to a service. Last is power input.

Put mine up November last year, and I was playing with it well into the New Year  ;D. To get it working both for phone and internet: half an hour though! Essential info - you need to use Expert view setting and in additional to the usual stuff for any router, remember to use specific additional info set up setting VLAN 101, if you decide to take the plunge! Oh, forgot, it works perfectly for IDNet's native IPv6 too! EDIT: make sure buying the International or English and NOT the German version; if from UK reseller or Momilc's english site (who are slow to despatch) it will come with the UK cables for phone and power connection. There's a review now too on Think Broadband's router review pages.
