Old customer returning, maybe

Hi,
I used to be a IDNet customer but i migrated a few years ago to Sky, cost was an issue and Sky were offering to bundle broadband with there Sky TV package so it made sense, however I'm now seriously considering ditching Sky altogether so i would need to find a new ISP. I'm considering IDNet again because of the great service i received previously although i have a question.

As i said I'm thinking of ditching Sky but that is because i starting to use Netflix alot, from looking at the packages listed I think the Pro package would suit best although i need advice from you guys, do you think 100GB is enough for a month with Netflix usage?

I guess the question would be, how much do you intend to use Netflix, but I'm sure we have people here who use it, that can advise.

Well i got through a series of Prison Break last month which is about 24hrs of content, if i could do that each month i would be happy. The rest of my data is gaming.

just found something on the Netflix site
Best Quality – High Definition - 2.3 GB Per Hour so that would be about 50gb or so a month on streaming.

I have kinda exhausted Netflix now, skys new on demand service seems to have many more films, but 100GB is enough for me, and I have an internet connected TV which I use for Skype plus blu ray player that has the same apps as the TV, iMac, iPad and iPhone, and laptop. Plus my wifes Android device.

Sky is too expensive compared to Netflix and I think the content on Netflix is already pretty good and will get better.

I guess Netflix is not everyone's 'cup of tea' I found the content disappointing for my wife and I. We decided not to subscribe once the trial had expired. However we did sneak over the 100Gb that month but there are other heavy users in the house.

I guess it all depends on what you quantify as a reasonable monthly 'entertainment' budget. To go up one step in the packages would be slightly less than an extra £10 per month, but that would double your download allowance.

Well i gave Sky a phone call today and told them I want out, I cancelled the whole shabang and i have my MAC code.
Need to decide what ISP now.

Justina and I found both Lovefilm and Netflix a let down, with catchup and on demand on sky well there is more we want watch and more up to date films as well as other content. Neflix has not really gotten much better since it came out, if you want decent content you need to use the American site. I'm not up for mucking about with the DNS settings to get it.

I've just switched to FTTC and the speed of streaming is so good I've found myself streaming all sorts of stuff via my bluray player on the sony channel. I just spent the weekend watching series 1 and 2 of Mad about you

I must have streamed over 20gb this weekend and I downloaded a few games through steam. I'm glad I've run out of things I like on the bluray players channels though

I was starting to think 200gb wasn't anywhere near enough
