It's apparently got a 30% improvement on the previous card. Although, I would have thought SLI (a second or more cards) setup would be cheaper, as it would give about the same increase for less cost. Butt hat's a comparison fro upgrades. I guess if a new build or new machine, then this is the fastest card, but way other priced and almost over specced. Not really many games would use this. However I guess there is a small market for those using 3 screens and 3d at the same time. Like flight sims.

You SLI the current 670s and have similar performance (I've read, obviously not tried it!).

I bought Crysis3 last night via Origin and my 560ti can play it at max settings on a 27" monitor at 1920*1080. It is a bit low on fps in some places but doesn't effect game play. There really isn't much of a need for this card unless you use a much higher resolution on a larger monitor and/or use dual/triple monitor set ups.

I refuse to pay that sort of money for a graphics card. I don't think I've ever spent more than £250. If you choose carefully you can get very good cards that can or are overclocked. The xxxti series of cards are VERY good. I removed the cooler on mine as it developed a fault, but with the new cooler on it it's much cooler now so I could overclock it easily. Trouble is I've got a few big spends in the next two months and don't want to risk melting the memory

That's true. I could switch to a very decent intel setup for that money as all I'd need would be the motherboard, ram and CPU. I think that is only around £600!
