Interesting... all the BQM links seem to have gone down :dunno:

Maybe a bug in the code, stops previous days/month from showing?

See if this one works.

Bill

That one works, and I can access mine (and others) from the tbb forums and main site... but not from here.

Weird... maybe something to do with being just after midnight, a slow clock somewhere perhaps?

That comment has only just registered, sorry

Shouldn't be, I don't think there's been any changes recently and it always used to work... let's see what happens when BT have got their act together and sorted out the main issue.

edit- Maybe even a 28-day month causing problems? Who knows :dunno:

Dunno, but I can't access one's I shared yesterday..

This one just shows the broken image icon.

Bill

I've just tried some BQMs posted "yesterday" over in the tbb forums and they're fine, it's just here they don't work.

Definitely a weirdie!

Now I'm confused. I've just extracted two of the TBB hyperlinks from this forum's HTML output. One is mine which doesn't work, the other belongs to Paul (psp83 as above) which does work. If I paste my hyperlink into a browser it still doesn't work :dunno:

Here are the two hyperlinks I extracted, maybe I'm just being stupid. Believe it or not it has been known ;D

Just to add to the confusion- all the links are working for me now, even the ones that were broken before!  :dunno: :bawl: :dunno: :bawl: :dunno:

Just a thought- your post was before 1am, mine was after. Maybe somebody's clock is stuck in the wrong time zone? :eek4:

 I think the internet needs to turn the lights off and have a good night sleep & come back all refreshed in the morning!  ;D

That's the best suggestion I've heard all night, sleep well ;D

All fixed now according to Idnets status page  :thumb:

They managed to do it without requiring me to disconnect/reconnect too

No excitement here, a couple of drops yesterday; but nothing was seriously affected on usual streaming nor HD and on actual up and download including speeds (only VOIP really affected, but that can happen anyway with the provider server, and it's why I maintain an anolgue phone as I have the line anyway). Different if you hunt out issues, I suppose  ;). IDNet's fault for calling it "Enterprise" broadband - what's in practice different from "ordinary" broadband? In your dreams IMO.

Obviously you were not on when the whole thing went down and no one had a connection  ;)

Yep I was, so had a snack and when I finished it was back. Even I have to eat sometimes ;) But I've had longer wasted time with a misperforming browser (or its add-on) - and more often!

But I am lucky (perhaps intentionally) to have a router which doesn't routinely lock or require rebooting when ther's trouble on't line.

Expectation, advertised level of performance, reputation and price mainly... tho' I don't really think this one can be blamed on IDNet in any way. They even kept the status page up to date :P

Some people yesterday when the drops happened were in the middle of work, just because it didn't effect you does not mean it was a non event. I should point out you router is not the 'superhero' of all routers even though you mention it in almost every post  :eyebrow:  My router did not lock up either, and I imagine many others didn't. Also IDNet were on the ball here, getting the page up to date, and making sure we were all informed. The terms used on their website are hardly a reason to question the resilience of their product that's just nit picking.

My router didn't need rebooting either, it was my choice to do it.

When BT lost the plot I simply disconnected/reconnected manually at intervals until it came back with the right IP instead of the 172.<whatever it was>.

Mine dropped and reconnected with the right IP, at least it didn't effect my profile.   :)

It's possible mine would have done if I'd ignored it, but I wasn't sure because, as far as it was concerned, it had a valid internet connection. It just wasn't one that was any use to me!

I had nothing better to do at the time anyway :P

Disconnecting/reconnecting won't have any effect on your profile- the DLM isn't interested in your authentication status, only your error count and (basically) whether or not you're sync'd.

When the car phone warehouse put their stuff into the local exchange my line dropped 5meg due to constant sync issues  ::) one call to IDnet and back in 10 day training period and all was good and back to my 15 meg line. Looking forward to FTTC although it isn't coming here till 2014  <sigh>

ISP have less control over FTTC/P though, so you won't be able to pick up the phone and request a profile reset or interleaving to be off etc :(

True, I have almost two years almost to dwell on that so tbh I might even stay on adsl2+ unless the world is moving so fast I need FTTC speeds, right now it seems fine as is. I can watc HD streaming on my PS3 from youtube, iPad smart TV etc without that speed, although for Skype the benefits would be good, same with Facetime, assuming Apple exist at the end of 2014  ;)
