The only time I encountered them in 12 years of living up, was during summer one year around the lochs on the west coast, they were never an issue in Forres.

You must have been on holiday the first two weeks of August 1994.     We were hotel hopping using our new fangled mobile phone which we towed behind us on a trailer.      The car was an N reg Rover 414 Si which we had collected a few days before and it was its first run out.

My first car was an L reg 414 SLi. I remember the 103bhp (when new) was the most out of all my friends  ;D I dare say the insurance was too!

I believe Polchraine lives in the wilds of Scotland!  ;D

Only part time ...   Normally a lot of March and September with some other weeks when I feel like it.

10 minutes to Heathrow,  40 minute wait for flight,  90 minutes later, pick up car in Aberdeen and a 40 minute drive.

One of the local BT exchanges - not the best of pictures but was taken with a very early camera phone back in 2006!

I'm desperately trying to figure out why kamikaze pilots wore helmets.

They were lovely cars and I had 80,000 trouble free motoring until the day I p/exed it when the coolant disappeared for no good reason.  I think many of the components were made by Honda which explained the reliability.  Mine was a nice charcoal colour and I remember paying £13,000 for it which seemed a lot of money at the time.
