Hello,

Could someone advise the best method to password protect the free web space we receive so the whole world cannot access it without a password?

Simon

Not sure that you can password protect it, but I believe you can put a blank index file on the front page, which would stop anyone getting any further.  Others may have better advice.

It seems to only have passwords for upload, not download.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

I've never looked at IDNet's free web space so I'm not really sure what options you might have. The usual way would be to create an .htaccess file but that only works if the web servers are running on Apache and you also need shell access to create an encrypted password file.

I tried.  Didn't get anywhere, it doesn't seem to be supported. See this thread that I started a while back.
