I may have asked this before, I know I have had the problem before but cannot remember the solution. The auto system does not work for me, all I need is to get an email account started I can amend it then. So how do I set up another account, bearing in mind that the automatic system fails for me?

Thunderbird>tools>account settings>account actions >add account

May help

Broadback

Afraid not.  It bombs out as Idnet is not recognized!

I get what's below on my Thunderbird, when trying to set up a test account.  It seems to have found the servers, but there is a Manual Config button which should allow you to enter the details manually.

Yep, I get that Simon, but it does not work out for me, it just goes in circles!

The fastest way is to take your PC or other device off-line and then the auto feature fails and you can do it manually in the old fashioned way.

What is the date of the referendum for England to become an independent country ?

Thanks Kimmel, that was easy. Have a karma!

I've been a while replying, but eventually I found the easiest way to do it. Go to File _ Off Line select work off line. Now proceed as normal, IE Tools - Account Settings - Account Action then select select add email account and proceed as normal. Thought I would post this as there may be others struggling.
