Since yesterday early morning I have no landline in or out I have reported to Arron? my BB is only just working at dial up speed and I  am running up my mobile useage due no outside phone? I have been told by neighbours that BT were carrying out work just down the road and it would appear that they may disconnected our line to my home?
I have also reported to Idnet that BT have been working in my area & the exchange [THSCR] over the last month+ but BT are saying no that they are not and everyday I have passed their vans  :eyebrow:.
We all know that BT are a law on to themselves :eek4:

Both my wife & I have medical problems and are in need of our phone line but again BT just see the £ signs and fail to understand disabled peoples needs?  Arron said there was a fault but failed to give details as to what the cause was due too :eyebrow: I have carried out all tests regarding socket & line but still no line!!!!! family have tried the line it rings & goes on too answering services?

I'm annoyed Idnet have not given any club as too what & why? :rant2:

Simon

Sorry to ask the obvious, but just checking, is your landline with IDNet?  Otherwise, I think you need to report the line fault to BT direct.

In reply to you Simon Yes it is :) I have been with Idnet for BB since 2006 and about 3 ish years for my phone line :) Its been a bad weekend as one had to use mobile to ring up to see if my brother who is in his 70's who unwell and then on top of that my wife who is diabetic also suffered a hypo? then a 30 minutes on mobile to  Sky as they switched off my channels? more cost. BT have alot to answer for full stop

I am disabled with a careline and had a similar situation, I was told a Wednesday and that was on a Monday, luckily it turned out to be something my friend could fix at my home (faceplate went wrong) Call first thing tomorrow or hassle again now but I doubt much can be done of a Sunday as an engineer will need to be called out. If only one part of the pair is connected properly or has been damaged you will loose phone and have very slow broadband I was informed. Sadly being disabled or having carelines etc does not mean you get quicker help. This is not IDnets fault, they rely on information from BT as to the state of your line and the issues and over the weekend thats limited from what I remember.  :(
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Gary

Have you tried plugging your phone into the test socket behind the faceplate if you can get to it (and have the standard modern socket or a faceplate)

Hi,

I believe you are the person who I have been in contact via email regarding the fault. We are chasing BT for an update at present to find out what the situation is. As soon as I have a report from them I will contact you back ASAP to let you know (via email as before).

Apologies for any frustration caused by this issue, and thanks for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards
Simon Mulliss
