Fizzy

I've had to reset the details on the idnetters usage gadget a couple of times over the last fews days - but thought it was because I had just reinstalled windows on my pc.

I setup the feed in outlook - but it works once when I add the feed but never updates after.  Weird.  ???

Also weird is that I was panicking since I appeared to be very near my peak time usage limit (believe to be thanks to windows updates and app reinstalls!) but the figure has been wavering a lot over last few days and has even dropped a couple of gig on last usage stats.  :o

How reliable are the figures on this?   Thought it would be important since going over your limits has a financial cost penalty...

Steve

The actual figure used is reliable however the projected monthly figure can be way out as it looks at the previous days usage rate and then assumes a similar rate for the monthly figure.

The gadget is obviously only as good as the data being supplied to it. In my experience the data is 100% spot on over time but subject to short term glitches. The glitches don't happen that often but they are a real problem when they do because they always understate the amount of bandwidth consumed.

Plus what Steve said!

Cheers for confirming, Zap. I guess it will 'magically' start working again at some point. Must admit its getting pretty unreliable as of late.

My IDNet usage widget is reflecting that. I really need to revise the instructions I've given to those using the Internet here. 'Fill your boots while the widget is in the green' doesn't cut it when the feed stops working :(

Has it gone again, or is it me? My last lot was yesterday :(

Perhaps they should have an RSS feed to tell you if the RSS feed is working.  ;D

I've just tried re-subscribing and apparently the feed doesn't exist.  Make of that what you will  :)

Steve

I've got data for yesterday on the rss so I presume it's working.

I ran a feed validator on it and it exists... but doesn't pass the test too well :eek4:

QuoteSorry

This feed does not validate.

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.

I've just tried the same feed validator and it tells me that it's not a feed it's a web page.

Looks like it's totally broken.  One for support I think.

Steve

I wonder what's going on mine's up to date to the 11th midnight.
