I used to have working "free proxy agent" which would allow me to run my pc as a proxy server for other internet users. Though I cant get the thing to work now. Though I wonder if it was before I had my router..

The problem is, the proxy works, but it only works for a local address 127.0.0.0.1, I suspect this used to be my ISP IP address which was while it worked in the past and my router has basically messed up the IP addresses.

In anycase, has any one any easy way to setup my PC as a proxy server so other internet users on the web can use my pc as a proxy ?  I have all ports on my router forwarded to all ports locally, I had to do that to get some games to work via the router, so i don't think its actually blocking anything.

Its all a bit over my head  :bawl: ???

I'm going to pass on this, however I do have a VPN setup - software for this is contained within the routers firmware. ASUS RT N66U. It's useful for me when abroad as it gives me a UK IP address.

The IP address 127.0.0.1 will always resolve back to the local computer.

What are you trying to achieve by running a proxy server?
