I have an internal drive, which is split into C: & D:, fine.
I also have 4 drives connected via USB. when I open "Computer'' it only shows C: D: & F:, F: being one of the USB connected drives, it fails to see the others. However when I run diskmgmt.msc it sees all the drives, and considers them healthy. I have used these disks in the past, 2 of them up until my computer problems, one admittedly I have not used for quite a while. Any suggestions as to where I am going wrong please? TIA

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the 'missing' drives from their USB ports, or swapping the USB connections over?

Isn't there a facility in Windows to enable you to assign more drive letters ie G,H,I ie there attached but by the settings not displayed. Sorry not using Windows at present but my guess you'll find the setting in disk management.

Many thanks Steve, that fixed it, though why they got "lost" in the first place is a puzzle
